Singapore Health Sciences Authority

The Health Sciences Authority operates several different laboratories to provide scientific and forensic services to law enforcement agencies. SCS and its partner, Applied Biosystems, implemented the Laboratory Information Management System for the Authority to enhance its laboratories' effectiveness and efficiency while improving communication and work flow throughout the Authority.

The system manages the progress of samples from registration to approval and dispatch of results to reduce turnaround time for the cases investigated. Reports generated by the system form the basis of statistical analysis of the Authority's workload.

The system is also seamlessly linked to other modules developed for the Authority, such as Forensic Medical Services, Radiation Licensing and Personal Dosimetry, Cost and Workload Management, and Manpower Utilisation.
